Welcome to Myanmar!
Ladies and gentlemen, Mingalabar,
I would like to thank you for your interest to discover life and culture of our country rich with natural diversity and a colorful mosaic of ethnic groups numbering 135 in total. These include the Padaung ladies with the elegant necklaces living in the eastern plateau and the sturdy and robust Chin and Naga brethrens of the hazy mountains of the west, the pigmies of the snow capped northern mountains and the wandering sea-gypsies of the southern islands in the Andaman Sea, creating Myanmar a paradise for the ethnologists.
Myanmar is the original appellation which embraces and represents all ethnic groups living in the country. During your short sojourn in Myanmar, you will see her rich cultural heritage, traditions and customs of different ethnic groups and their hospitality and friendliness beaming on their faces. You may encounter our brethrens admiring you like a celestial being.
The children may rush and jostle to see your sophisticated video camera or Polaroid and voluntarily pose with broad smiles for your photo of the century. You will surely have a rejoicing moment and a rewarding experience like watching the birth of a beautiful flower opening up its tender petals at the whispers of the morning breeze. Seeing is believing and nothing is comparable to the first-hand knowledge that you see and feel by yourself. We present you a few itineraries reflecting Myanmar life and cultures. However, if you have a bent of mind on flora and fauna, archaeology and history or art and culture, please do not hesitate to inform us. We would like to help you in weaving your dreams into realities.
Best regards,
Ngwe Wynn
